Arise! Arise! Put on your Strength!
For the last two to three years the main activity of Pillars of Fire has been concerned with developing the House of Prayer.
It is remarkable to see how God has sustained us for the last 8 years especially the last two when we have run from 10am -4pm each Friday,
praying for the community, the nation , Israel and the nations. Our heart now is to see this expand and grow. We need a new location so that we can
extend the hours of praying.
The ultimate goal remains ,of course, 24/7.

We have also over these last two years concentrated on the fellowship. Significant changes have taken place in that we are more outward looking and
have recently been involved with a town wide mission that has been fruitful and we are continuing our engagement with the community in running events
for the community and we plan to reopen healing rooms ( in  conjunction with Pillars of Fire) soon, which drew in numbers of people during the mission.

At the end of this year our attention is being turned afresh to Pillars of Fire. Orginally this trust was set up for the work we did amongst the Lutheran
Churches during the 90's. This was a remarkable time when we saw the leaders of the Lutheran Renewal Movement (GGE) highly impacted by the Holy Spirit.

After a time the work began to come to an end except for working in seminars with Sabine and Frank Hildebrandt. We went over to Germany once a year to run
seminars with them combining the work of the Holy Spirit in bringing emotional healing and spiritual freedom to people with sanine's expertise as
a Christian Gestalt therapist. This has proved to be a very effective and fruitful partnership.

Sabine called on me over a year ago to be her coach in seeking to develop
a healing centre bringing the two elements together on a more permanent basis. This is probably leading again to more involvement with the Lutheran Church.

Over the last year there have been a number of prophecies given to us personally indicating that we will be travelling more. Whenever in the wilderness the
Pillar of Fire that went with the Israelites moved the whole camp moved and followed. It seems that we have been settled for a while but that the Pillar of Fire
is moving on for us!
During the summer we met a prophetic lady who has been working, encouraging our daughter's church in the South of France for the last two years. She spoke
in Fresh Springs Fellowship and was well received. We found unity of spirit with her immediately and appreciated her input on a personal level also.
She travels a great deal, encouraging small churches and Houses of Prayer in Europe. She asked us to help her by travelling with her and for her as her workload
was too high.

Over the last two weeks we have come to the conviction that this is the right way forward for us.Our resolve has been tested fiercely bringing deep conviction.
Penny and her husband Henry are visiting the fellowship again in a couple of weeks time, when we will discuss their being involved directly with Pillars of Fire Trust.

There is a total integration of Fresh Springs, Fresh Springs Trust and Pillars of Fire Trust. This means that there is total accountability that is rooted
in the local fellowship as well as with Penny and Henry.
I intend to go to a day-conference being run by Penny in the new year with  My son-in-law as the main speaker. Tric and I will be available to travel on an
approximately once a month basis from the beginning of the year, trusting the Lord to lead and guide us in this.
Please pray for us as we step out in this arena.

Peter

 Healing the Sick
The original work the Pillars of Fire Trust when it began was the work of healing the sick. We ran meeting to that end in Eastbourne and Seaford until the establishment of Fresh Springs Christian Fellowship. We are now thinking of returning to this work - building on the success of Seahaven House of Prayer - and expanding into the healing area.

Coaching for Christian Leaders and Businesses

Coaching for Christian Leaders and Businesses

For some time now it has been a possibility that coaching would be offered to Christian leaders, pastors and busnessmen through the Pillars of Fire Website. Finally we believe this is an area that the LORD is calling Peter to and we now want to take that step. This is done on a professional and commercial basis and is totally centred in our relationship with God.
Not many understand the service of coaching. In essence the coach supports the individual in defining their purpose and goals and supporting them in the pursuit of those goals, helping them to overcome internal and external blocks to those goals being fulfilled within a specified time frame.

Overcoming a sense of being overwhelmed is often a key area of coaching.Coaching is acknowledged by many companies as a cheap route to consolidating and putting training into action as well as helping to reduce stress levels.
Through our own experience we know that pastoral work is highly pressurised.

These Risk Factors for Pastors are listed from a survey taken by the Fuller Institute of Church Growth

1.90% of pastors work more than 46 hours a week.

2.80% believed that pastoral ministry affected their families negatively.

3.33% said that being in ministry was an outright hazard to their family.

4.75% reported asignificant stress related crisis at least once in theit ministry.

5.50% felt unable to meet the needs of the job.

6.90% said they were inadequately trained to cope with the ministry

7.70% said they had lower self-esteem than when they first started out

8.40% reported a serious conflict with a parishioner at least once a month

9.37% reported inappropriate sexual behaviour with someone in the church

10. 70% do not have someone they can call a close personal friend
