In Isaiah 35 there are promises from God that apply to all people in all places at all times!! The essence of these promises is that it is possible in this life to walk in holiness a life that is separate from sin and the world system. Not a "holier that thou"
separation from other people or sour-faced judgementalism, but rather activated by an inner grace in the heart that is a gift of God as we put the trust of our hearts in Him.

No matter how foolish our hearts are the Lord promises that he will guide us to and on this highway if we are on a pilgrimage in this life looking for his Kingdom, seeking cleansing and holiness through the power of the blood.

We are promised the presence of the Lord as we walk on this Highway of Highway of Holiness!!

"And a Highway shall be there,and a way and it shall be called, the Way of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it. But He shall be with them; the wayfaring men, though fools shall not err in it."
                                Isaiah 35:8

We are promised, on this Highway, to be immune from attack of the enemy,but that those who have been bought back from him, shall walk there.

"No lion shall be there, nor any beast of prey shall go up on it: it shall not be there:but the redeemed shall walk there"

                                Isaiah 35:9

It is promised as a place of great joy and singing, rather than one of condemnation and frustration.

"And the ransomed of Jehovah shall return and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy on their heads: they shall obtain Joy and gladness and sorrow and sighing shal flee away"
Isaiah 35:10

God is calling His people to a depth of relationship with Him where He teaches and instructs our hearts in a place of total acceptance and affirmation from Him.He leads us to a place of total separation of the heart from the world and sin. he leads us in to a place of intimacy ad confidence in Him.

2 Corinthians 6:17
" Therefore comeout from among them,and be separated, says the Lord,and do not touch the unclean thing. And I will receive you 18 and I will be a Father to you, and yu shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."

A most important aspect of this way of holiness is putting the trust of the heart in God, ridding the heart of all fear.

" Jehovah is my strength and my fortress,and my deliverer: I will trust in Him: He is my shield, the horn of my salvation,my high tower." Psalm 18:2 

This is not attainable to one who has not deoarted from self righteousness, yet gloriously obtainable to one who has learnt to trust in the working of His righteousness in his heart - gratefully claiming His righteousness as a gift held in heavens storehouse for him.

What a strong encouragement to experience life on this highway of holiness, to enjoy His continual Presence,guidance and joy!!
