REVIEW OF SEAHAVEN HOUSE OF PRAYER DECEMBER 2009
Seahaven House Of Prayer continued to meet every Friday from 10:00 - 14:00 in 2009. We were privileged to have several gifted worship leaders, Matt for the first part of the year, Flic. until September and Olli who continued to lead us all year!!! There have also been some faithful and consistent intercessors who attended nearly every week and brought their individual anointings and personality gifting to enrich our time together. Pete consistently brings an encouraging and challenging word each week and this is greatly appreciated.
We have continued to base our supplications on the Lord's prayer, interceding for the locality, the nation and the nations. Individuals, whose names are written on a slip of paper, are also prayed for up to twenty times.
At Pentecost, we had the privilege of hosting the new Mayor, Tracy Willis, the retiring mayor, the new young Mayor and a retired Mayor as well as town and county councillors. This session was led by Sylvia Coombe, from St. Luke's Chyngton, who has pioneered prayer for our streets. Hilary Norsworthy, from St. Andrew's, Bishopstone, led prayers for the Voluntary workers in the town, Flic. and Olli led prayers for the Youth and Sandy Richards, prayer for CTIS.
SHOP was privileged to have several other visitors this year, Penny from PRNTN, Suzy and Daniel from Iris Ministries, Africa, Richard Smart and Richard and Prilla Rowlands, also ministering in Africa, Ross Hardy from "More Fire Revival Ministries" plus Claire and Ben from the Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team and Geoffrey from CFI. These all explained the missions work they were involved in and led us in intercessions and allowed us the privilege of praying for them.
On some weeks, Mike, Rosie and Pete have led us in some prophetic singing, a la "Harp and Bowl" modelled on IHOP, Kansas City. David and Pat have served us faithfully on a weekly basis, setting up and putting down equipment. We are most grateful too for Julia and Pat who have ensured the continuity of SHOP in our absence as Pete and I have travelled in ministry this year in Spain and Germany, and visited our daughters and families on missions in far-flung places!, Most weeks, we have had between 12 - 18 attendees from four different churches, St. Thomas More, St. Leonards, Seaford Baptist Church and FSCF.
SHOP comes under the banner of Pillars of Fire Trust. Finances continue to be a challenge and FSCF has had to pay for the hall hire on occasions. We have been enabled to continue giving the worship leaders a small donation. We have been blessed in the latter part of the year in having more young people attending. At the same time there has been an increase in the anointing of the Holy Spirit's presence and we are often aware of His pleasure among us. We are grateful to Jesus for allowing us the privilege to "Watch with Him".
We would like to thank all who have contributed time, effort and their fellowship and love to build together "a house of prayer for all nations" and pray His richest blessings on each one. May we go into 2010 with an increased resolve to love Him with all our hearts and to be with Him, whatever the cost!
